Established in 1980 on the island of Oahu, we are a highly acclaimed business in the live entertainment industry, with over 30 years of success.

Behind every successful business there is an interesting story.  This story begins with a mother’s idea to create an entertainment company in order to provide a better life for her two children and a baby on the way.

My mother, Les'Lie Fernandez, was an experienced Polynesian dancer and already well connected in the entertainment industry. She leveraged this talent and experience to create “Les’Lie Productions” on the island of Oahu in 1980.

Les’Lie Productions started with a bang! Almost overnight, they began booking shows all over the island, performing nightly and poolside at the Sheraton Waikiki and Moana Surfrider Hotels, to name a few. These poolside shows were such a hit that they led to 18 years of consistent nightly entertainment at both the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani and Sheraton Waikiki Hotels.

In later years, Les’Lie Productions provided more spectacular shows at other local hotels such as the Hawaii Prince and even on neighboring islands at The Sheraton Keauhou Resort in Kona. In addition to providing entertainment for numerous world-class hotels all over Hawaii, Les’Lie Productions did a substantial amount of convention shows for high-profile clients such as: JTB, Toyota, NEC, Jal Pak, Louis Vuitton, Mary Charles and Associates, Kintetsu, Sony, NIYAC, Event House, SCI, and many more.

Taking the world by storm, Les’Lie and her seasoned entertainers began to broaden their reach by traveling internationally. In the 1980’s they traveled to Spain, Taiwan where they performed at Ocean World, and Argentina to The Sheraton Argentina hotel. As for the 1990’s and 2000’s, the company took their show to Okinawa’s Sheraton Okinawa hotel, Japan’s Sheraton Grand Tokyo Bay Hotel, and even to The Marriott Dubai.

As with all interesting stories, where one chapter closes, another begins.

I was “the baby on the way” when this story began.  I grew up performing in my mother’s productions, with my big sister, Leila Fernandez (who now owns a halau and production company in Seattle), leading the way.  We danced Hula, Tahitian, Maori, Jazz, Swing, and anything my mother could dream up. Our costumes were elegant; I remember how magical it was as a child to constantly be surrounded by the very best dancers and musicians the islands had to offer!

Once I graduated high school on the island of Oahu, I left Les’Lie Productions to pursue my own career in dance, music, and acting. I went to Chapman university, where I graduated with a B.A. in Dance, adding extensive modern/contemporary, ballet, jazz, and more to my resume.  In the years that followed graduation, I worked all over Los Angeles and abroad as a professional dancer, singer, and actress. I've been lucky enough to perform alongside some of the most talented artists: Placido Domingo, El Vez the Mexican Elvis (various US and European tours), Conan O'Brien, Los Straitjackets, and X, to name a few. In addition, I've had the honor of performing at world-renowned theatres such as The Magic Castle, Teatro Zinzanni Seattle, The Dorothy Chandler Pavillion/Music Center, First Avenue Minneapolis, and more.

As time passed however, there was a growing feeling inside saying that I should return to my roots as a Polynesian performer. I also noticed that there was a bit of a lack in professional and authentic Polynesian entertainment here in Los Angeles, so it seemed like an excellent opportunity to build on my mother’s legacy and continue the tradition of providing the very best in Polynesian entertainment. Instead of closing down Les’Lie Productions as my mother reached retirement, the decision was made to pass the torch on to the next generation.

In 2013, we officially launched CocoTiki in Los Angeles, a new incarnation of the very same Polynesian entertainment company I had grown up performing in. We custom-made new costumes to compliment our already extensive collection, added new choreography, including brand new routines that fuse classic Polynesian movement with contemporary jazz sexiness!

In less than one year since officially launching, we have provided entertainment for over 100 events, including major functions such as NAMM, Viva Las Vegas, Tiki Oasis in San Diego, Warner Brothers/Telepictures, and more.

When you book CocoTiki, you can expect the very best in entertainment!
